Leader vows to continue backing Resistance against US, Israel

In a message issued late on Tuesday to Secretary-General of the Hezbollah Resistance Movement, Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution hailed the condolences and sympathy of Hezbollah chief over the martyrdom of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, emphasizing that Iran will throw its heavy weight behind the Resistance Movement wholeheartedly.

Emphasizing that “standing firm and steadfast against the most stubborn and cruel enemies of the Islamic Ummah, i.e. the United States and Zionist regime, are among the most prominent characteristics of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader said, adding, “The esteemed and honorable martyrs of the Resistance movement including former IRGC Quds Force and anti-terror commander martyr Lt. General Qassem Soleimani and other senior IRGC and Army commanders are a solid evidence for the said claim.”

The Leader further stressed that "the history of the Islamic Resistance is replete with struggle, courage, and sacrifice, where the Resistance leaders sacrificed their lives in defense of the Islamic Ummah without fearing any threat."

Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei emphasized that distinguished figures such as former Lebanese Hezbollah chief martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Head of Hezbollah's Executive Council martyr Seyyed Hashem Safieddine, are the "true examples of this steadfast path."

Elsewhere in his message, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei expressed appreciation for Sheikh Qassem’s condolences and sympathy over the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and acknowledged the feelings of affection and loyalty expressed on behalf of Hezbollah's fighters towards the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Leader wrote that Hezbollah's incumbent secretary-general "at this sensitive moment in the history of the resistance, bears the responsibility of leading the movement."

The US and Israeli waged an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran on February 28 which led to the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, senior military commanders and civilians.
